    Hi all
I came across the subway salads
at the restaurant on campus at my school, they will make any 6" sub into a salad for an extra dollar.
so, they have a sub of the day for $3, comes to a total of $4
today i was a little bad, because they were having meatball marinara... I'm guessing there's some fillers in those, but it was really good!
so, if you're away from home with no lunch, you might try this out

I had the subway club salad the other day. It was great. I couldn't even finish it all. Good meal for a good price, and without a bunch of carbs!

      Re: subway salads

Subway salads are a great choice for fast food. Especially because you can get in so many yummy, fresh vegetables.

However, I would suggest not getting meatball marinara again - sorry. If you look at the 6 inch subs here you'll see that most sandwiches have 45-48 carbs, but the meatball marinara has 63 carbs. The carb counts obviously include the bread which you did not eat, but just comparing the numbers shows you're getting at least 15-18 more carbs by just eating the meatballs . That doesn't include any other carbs. I hope the mathematical deduction makes sense .

Take the insides of a subway sub and put it in a low carb tortilla. Good stuff.

          To those newbies reading this...

Low carb tortillas are allowed on OWL rung 9 so that means they're a no-no for Induction.

            Re: subway salads

I too have a Subway on campus and I have gone there for their salads. I usually get the tuna with the salad. I would get the wraps before but for some reason they said they stopped serving those lo carb wraps - now they have like flatbreads! Do you all who go to subway and ask for the wraps still have them available?? I was really heart broken to discover this so now I can ONLY stick to the salads

Thanks for sharing this info. I live in the UK but will ask if they can do the same here. It would certainly help to have a quick, low carb meal. In fact, I might try one tomorrow! x

Their sauces and salad dressings contain sugar, corn syrup, modified corn starch, etc. The only "legal" dressing is olive oil and red wine vinegar (not red wine vinaigrette, because that has sugars).

The ranch and chipotle aren't horrible choices, pretty low in carbs, but as Georgiana said they have sugars in them. I just have them put some mayo on it with basil, oregano and parmesean. Gives it a good Italian flavor, add some olive oil to pick up some extra fats.

I found this website with some nutrition info including mayo etc
                        Official SUBWAY Restaurants' Nutrition Information

I don't know if the UK numbers would be different or if they use the same products across the world.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
