just wanted to know from all those people who were successful, how many times did you re-start induction before you got to where you are?

Kind of difficult for me to answer this question, because the two times I was kicked out of ketosis were when I was ill and was on multiple antibiotics. Both of these times were during my 4 month extended Induction. Eventhough, I stuck to the diet and ate only Induction foods during my illnesses, I still was out of ketosis. So I didn't need to "restart" anything because I was still following the Induction Rules: I just needed to pick up where I left off.~Megs~

I did a clean induction when I started Atkins (lost 11 pounds during induction). Then moved to OWL in week 4. The only cheat I had was planned -- I went to Italy for 10 days in Oct. 2004 and knew that I wouldn't be able to stick to Atkins in the land of pasta and gelato.
But the whole time I was on vacation, I knew that as soon as I got on the airplane to return home, that I was back on Atkins. I didn't go back to induction, but did go back to a 20-carb max where I was on OWL at the time (up to berries rung). I lost the few pounds I gained in Italy within the first week, and have lost at the rate of about 1 pound per week since then.

I did a clean induction for about 6 weeks, lost 20 lbs, but then i fell off the wagon around x-mass time last year.... Its been harder for me to stick with it now though. i'll go for like 1.5 weeks, and then mess up, and star over again. I havent gained back any of the weight i lost i just havent lost any more in about 3 months,

Spending time reading the posts of too many people who struggle when they return after cheating has been the prime motivator for me to stick with Atkins. Somehow, from my past history of trying to control my weight, I just know that I may not find my way back again if I cheat.
When you are alone in your head, you are in a bad neighborhood.
