Re: help to find a sugarless mayonnaise
Part of the sugar listed on the label, under carbohydrate, is sugar naturally occurring in foods. Eggs have some, mustard does too. This kind of sugar is okay, it is added sugar you should stay away from. So what you always have to do is to check the ingredients.Originally posted by muzza View Posthi guys i live in australia and i cannot find a decent mayo with no added sugar they all have sugar .im in week 4 of induction and i basically wasted the first 2 weeks i think cause i was eatin about 5 or 6 tablespoons of praise whole egg mayo a day b4 i read the label properly and it has added sugar.can any1 tell me if the ingredients say sugar added is the total amount of sugar in the product shown on the nutrional label .this mayo i was using has 2.2 gram of sugar per 100 grams and 2.3 gram of carbs per 100 grams.thats on the nutrional label but then down in the ingredients it has sugar added and added again becuase of the dijon mustard they make the mayo with . so basically this stuff would b loaded with sugar im thinking .any help guys thanks muz
You can make your own batch of mayo and store it in the fridge for up to several days."Get action. Seize the moment. Man was never intended to become an oyster."

Re: help to find a sugarless mayonnaise
I read thatthe S&N brand in Australia has no sugar, but that pretty much all the rest there has high sugar added do to the popularity of it being sweetened there. Hope you can find something. Or what would be even better is making it yourself using olive oilTutti

Re: help to find a sugarless mayonnaise
2 yolks from large organic eggs
1-2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (or rice wine vinegar)
⅛ teaspoon Splenda
salt and pepper to taste
¾ to 1 cup of oil
- Add egg yolks, lemon juice, Splenda, salt and pepper to food processor (or a bowl and beat) and mix until well-combined.
- While the machine is running (or your arms) slowly add the oil, drop by drop at first. After it has started to emulsify, slowly pour the remainder of the oil in very thin stream until fully incorporated. Slow and steady is key. The mayonnaise should be thick enough to withhold it’s own shape and appear luxuriously creamy.
