  • fat free ranch dressing

Learn from my mistake, make sure if you go out you check what is in their dressing. My dad wanted to go eat pizza yesterday so I said I would and get a salad and just some of the topping off the pizza. They fixed my salad the way I wanted it which was with tomatoes, a few black olives, cheese. I ask for ranch so they brought me out a packet of fat free ranch. I started to put it on my salad and thought 1/2 way through I would read the back. IT HAD 14 CARBS TO ONE PACKET. Thank goodness I started to read it before I put it all on. I used 1/2 the packet though. So of course I went over my carbs for the day but not by much. I guess maybe all fat free has exra carbs, I don't know. I usually eat regular ranch and get it on the side. I always dip my fork in it than my salad. That way you eat less. Old habit from long time ago.

Fat free products often have added sugar or HFCS. Go figure. It makes no sense to me why people want to avoid fat and eat sugar instead.
    Glad you discovered it.

fat free foods are very bland, so they usually add sugar or spices to make the food palatable...
