Re: stalled
how long have you been stalled. a real stall is 6 weeks of no weight change and no inches lost. post some menus so we might be able to figure out if something you're eating may be a culprit, also how much water you're drinking. working out your muscles makes them retain water. also usually between week 3-5 just about everyone experiences a mini stall. i personally gained 5lbs my second week and couldnt get rid of it till week 4, and that was with no cheats at all. your body is going to pause to catch its breath once in a while. so because of that, when the scale pauses, don't freak out, just double check that you're doing everything correctly and if you are, just give it time to get used to all the crazy changes you've made. it will go down again when its ready.
personally without seeing your menu or anything, i'd say try upping your water and try cutting out the sprite for a week, and see if that helps. sugar alcohols in diet drinks make me stall, the only one i can get away with is diet rite because its made with splenda, but i don't drink them anyway. i figure i'll allow myself 1 non water drink and i'll take my coffee over a coke any day lol also fyi cheese and cream stall me, i can only get away a tbsp of cream in my coffee and maybe 1oz of cheese every 3 days. i also have to stay away from processed meat like sausage or bacon because nitrates and fillers slow me down too.
you also might try changing up your workout. if you've been working out the whole 4 weeks, your body might not be being challenged anymore. try working out longer, pushing yourself harder, or doing something completely different for your cardio that might work different muscles, etc.F/24/5'10"

Re: stalled
In DANDR, a stall is actually defined as 4 consecutive weeks without a change in weight or inches.Originally posted by kibskixa real stall is 6 weeks of no weight change and no inches lost.
Sprite Zero contains aspartame, which is a renown "staller". This is why Dr. Atkins wrote we should avoid aspartame whenever possible.Originally posted by davidt79I started atkins 4 weeks ago, and work out 4 times a week, 25-30 min cardio and a little weights. As kibskix said, drop the sodas and post a menu. Otherwise it's difficult for us to make suggestions.

Re: stalled
I think the confusion regarding the way stalls are defined comes from the PISS thread, right? If I remember correctly, it says 6 weeks there.
Besides what kibskix said about veggies... Are you eating enough fat? About 65% of your calories should come from fat and 30% from protein.Originally posted by davidt79i eat 2 eggs and 2 bacon strips for breakfast, 4 - 6 oz of steak or pork chop with a small salad for lunch and the same for dinner. I drink about 3/4 gallon of water a day. I'll get rid of the sprite.

You can float lemon & lime slices in your water -- or use mineral or spring water for a change. What type of exercise are you getting daily? Have your measurements changed since you've stopped loosing pounds according to your scale?Carole_____________________May Water 130oz daily
