Okay so last week Tuesday when I weighed in I showed no weight loss, but I determined it was because I had added low carb tortilla's into my diet and I promptly cut them out and stuck to basic Induction food this past week. Well, this morning I weighed in and I have lost NO weight AGAIN. Its really starting to bother and frustrate me. I know with how much I weigh that the weight should be coming off pretty steady this early in the game (This is the start of the 5th week back on Atkins. The first week I dropped 15 Pounds, the second week I dropped 3 pounds…3rd week nothing and this week (4th) nothing. I don’t know what is going on and I am losing faith in this (Which is frustrating because I know first hand that it works) And I am committed to changing my life…but I need to get past this hump. I never had this trouble when I did Atkins before (I lost 100 pounds)…however some things have changed since I did it back then (2004-05). For one I was pretty strict for the first 7 months… Only getting protein, fat and some veggies from basic sources.
Now I pretty much know the rules more so I eat a little different, a bigger variety (still induction friendly foods though)
Okay so let me walk you through this week and the foods I ate…
Smoked Gouda Cheese, American, Cheddar & A string cheese
Slice smoked turkey deli meat
Homemade pot roast
Shredded beef tostada (minus the shell) So just the meat, sour cream, lettuce, cheese and Mexican hot sauce (minimal amount).
Eggs
Bacon
Sausage
Oopsie rolls
Salad
Ribs ( No bbq sauce)
2 Meat balls.
Sugarfree Gum
Coffee w/cream ( no more then 2 small cups a day if that)
I think that pretty much covers it for this week. I haven’t been to the gym this week due to finals this week. But that shouldn’t make a difference because when I lost weight on Atkins before back in 2004-05 about half the time I spent not working out. Another note: I feel like I am holding on to water a little bit maybe (could be my imagination)… I think TOM is maybe anywhere from a few days to a week away. But I’m not sure if that would make a difference. Also I did not get enough sleep this past week due to finals and such.

If it goes on for a few more weeks, you might try cutting back 5g of carbs and see how that works. Good luck
