  • 1 pound at a time

I been on atkins now for 8 weeks. Total lose of weight is 13lbs. It is coming off slowly. I been losing about 1lb a week, except last week I lost 2lbs. The first 2 weeks I lose 6lbs.
At my workplace we started a biggest loser contest. There is 11 people who signed up. We are doing a 12 week program. Final weigh in is July 1st. Biggest % lost win the money. Everyone is doing their own thing. Some are doing weight watchers, some atkins, some just watching calories/fat. I decided to join to help motativate myself. I don't think I will win since I have been on atkins for a while but it helps with the support. I am at the weight of 165lbs as of today, that is me weighing at home--I still have to weigh in at work, fingers cross I still weigh that there.

I am just now this week starting exercising. I have been unable to due to back problems and knees. I have a stationary bike I started. Doing some floor exercises, so I hope that helps with weight loss.
I do have a goal of being down to 150lbs by Aug. 8th. I hope I can do it.
Of course I am still doing induction. It is working and I am not bored with food so I am sticking to it.

I've always been told when you loose weight slowly it stays off easier and longer. I hope you are able to make your goal by the date you want, but if you don't just remember you've lost a lot so far. Good luck on the Biggest Loser challenge at work.

Re: 1 pound at a time

Great news, Kimber! Congratulations and good luck with the Biggest Loser contest.

Some people lose weight fast... some of us lose slowly. But all of us can lose and keep it off if we are committed.

Thanks for the support. One day at a time is the key. We all can do it. Just set her minds to the task at hand.
