  • Linda's Low Carb Recipes Question

Hi all...I'm just out of induction and on to OWL (I think). I have frequented Linda's Low Carb Recipes looking for some variety - but I notice that some of the recipes require things not on my acceptable foods list for induction - or even OWL rung 1, even though it says on the site that it is suitable for induction. How careful should I be regarding the recipes I find here? Thanks -

Re: Linda's Low Carb Recipes Question

You mean even her starred recipes (she marks her induction recipes with star * ) are illegal? I have not noticed that.
I go by the book. Always double check recipes and claims. If it does not work with what I am supposed to eat, I modify or look for another recipe.

Do you have an example of this? I haven't encountered anything that had an asterisk next to it (meaning it's Induction-friendly) that wasn't actually acceptable for Induction.

Maybe I don't have all the facts about what is acceptable and not. I was wondering about sour cream but that question has been answered. I just wish I could stop freaking out over everything I put in my mouth!!!

That is OK. I think many of us go through that phase. Probably a good thing too for a bit. As we need to learn to scrutinize ingredients and labels very carefully.

I totally freaked out over every little thing at first. It's vital to this WOE, though, because a little dash of sugar in a sauce or dressing could send you reeling into the Wide World of Fattening Carbs. Don't knock yourself for being thorough!
