  • New to Atkins

This is my 1st experience with Atkins and the forum. I have been doing the plan for 3 weeks and have lost 3 inches off waist hips and bust and have enjoyed it actually- I am a carnivore at heart! Not weighing as have no scaled currently. My only question is what do u do when u want a sweet fix. ? Please dont say sugar free jelly! Hate it!

    Re: New to Atkins

    Well
There are probably many "solutions" here. I often suggest that we try to overcome these sweet cravings by eating something else. I often try cream cheese. Sometimes cheese crackers.
Atkins also recommended L-glutamine if we had a lot of sweet cravings.

If you were told that all you had to do is hang in a little longer to break the sweet kick, would you?? Breaking the sweet cravings was the best thing (aside from the weight loss) that I ever accomplished. Drink water, have a piece of cheese, dance in around your living room, go for a walk, kiss someone, lift weights, read DANDR, post to a newbie, pick out a piece of "I'm going to wear this someday" clothing. Sweet tasting stuff leads to more sweet tasting stuff ... try it a while longer. You are doing great!

When you are alone in your head, you are in a bad neighborhood.
