  • Extended induction, day 5

    Hello Buddies:

After 2 weeks on induction, I had 'stalled' on my fat loss for about 5 days. This morning I dropped from 230.1 lb to 227.5 lb. thus breaking my stall. My average caloric intake is about 1,850 per day. Of course I stagger them. On certain days I've gone up as high as 3005 calories, other days as low as 1,706.

I'm not clapping yet, because I have three days of cardio left and this afternoon I do back, traps, biceps and forearms. In fact, I have three cardio sessions before the weekend is over. Sunday is my high calorie day so I will weigh myself and take body fat measurements Sunday morning before cardio and eating every 2 -3 hours all day / night long.

I look different, though. A friend told me yesterday that I had a flat stomach and my shoulders are much wider than my hips and sides. She was amazed because she had seen me just 5 days prior and did not notice such a dramatic change. She told me my muscles are bulging all over the place. After she said that, I looked down at my forearms and they were big, defined and vascular.

We went to dinner last night at IHOP, and I ate a swill cheese omelet,
and a Caesar's salad sans croutons.

I guess AD wakes up the dormant genes we possess from our ancestors who survived the last ice age.

Do you know that IHOP often adds pancake batter to their omelets?

This reminded that all the guys were hugging the mirrors in the gym yesterday looking at their muscles. I was not happy

    Congratulations with your loss.

Yup, I figured that out because I could taste it. I'm not concerned because I'm really not overly-fat. I'm sure I could've eaten 175 grams of carbs yesterday and still remained in a fat burning mode. I'd probably would have gotten bigger muscles because of glycogen over-compensation. I figure I'm about 19% bodyfat now. Maybe a tad lower.

Remember, I'm doing the AD induction phases because I'm headed towards a CKD. I came here to seek information. I do not post in bodybuilding forums.

In those forums, they're mostly kids that over-train and stack whatever supplements that phoentically sound like some form of androgen. I bet most of them are hard gainers, err... not streotyping or anything, but the typical 150 lb geek-nerds. (Well I'm a 227.5 lb geek nerd.)

Atkins is the best intiall diet and the best maintenenace diet that a person should follow for the rest of their life. My thing is not to fit into size 28 jeans or have a low BMI, my thing is to eventually weigh about 225 lb at 10-15% body fat, like I used to before I went to grad school.

My goals are way different than the majority of the people that post on this board.

Thanks Liv, but carb is not a four lettered word in my dictionary...

Also, I do find myself posing also, in front of mirrors latley. My triceps are almost as big as my face. The outer and inner heads form a noticable horse shoe...lol.

      Have a great weekend, Liv
