Hi kgold,
I'm going to move this thread over to the Extended Induction Board, so as not to confuse the 14 day people.
Are you still losing weight and/or inches? Some folks hit a mini-stall between weeks 3-6 of the diet.
Were the bars the only thing new you added to your menu?
Are you still being careful about measuring your food portions and only that amount that satisfies your hunger?
Are you being consistent as to when you are testing for ketones?~Megs~

I would stay away form those bars. For me, the only way i loose weight is if i eat only whole foods, NO FRANKENFFOODS.....
I know they say Atkins, but they still arn't good, especially during Induction.
For a sweet treat, why dont you try this:
2-3 tblsp, Heavy whipping Cream
1 packet splenda (or one drop liquid)
1 tsp unsweetened coco powder
Whip it all up together until thick and waaaalllllaaaa, Chocolate mouseMini Goal -- 150 by May 1st

Did you check the ingredients of those bars against the list of acceptable foods?
Peanut butter might contain sugars - and of course also contains peanuts which are not acceptable till you are on the legume rung of OWL :nonoWondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

lay off the bars and peanut butter...they aren't going to help your loss any...stick to the acceptable foods when making an induction friendly snack...I make crustless pumpkin pie or cheesecake when I need something or I eat a pickleor something salty to combat the craving. Have you posted a menu recently for review. There may be an area that could be adjusted.32yr old Female

looks like those bar net effective carbs that I call the mythical magical noncounting counting carbs effected you even thought the package told you they were low impact.
Stick with your clean induction for a few days to get your ketosis going good. it you want to add nuts to your post 14 day induction go with one ounce of the lower carb ones like macadamia, brazil, pecans walnuts or almonds type and be very careful of PB you can make yourown nut butters from those if you need that fatty mouth feel pleasure.
Happy low carbing
BTW you know any color change on those stix means you are in ketosis not just purple color.by the book atkinseer

We need some more info on you here, in order to help you out.
Zip up into your Profile, and in the Signature box, jot down your gender, age, height, start weight/current weight/goal weight.
If you have 30 pounds to lose, then 3 pounds is pretty much spot on what you'd be expected to lose. The average person will lose 5 to 10% of their desired amount after the 14 days.
You might have run into a bad ketostick..which seems to happen a lot from what I hear about them.
If you are eating according to the plan, you're going to be in ketosis. I've managed to lose over 40 pounds without having used them...they aren't necessary, really.
Adding in foods on a whim isn't going to contribute to your success, so I'd think hard about that decision. Induction is the time to change your eating habits, and it seems that you have a problem with your sweet tooth...this is the time to get that sugar monkey off your back and deal with this problem. A few bites here and there of this and that can make a person complacent and fall off the plan.
I urge you to stick to the book and look into induction legal alternatives.
Also, it's pretty normal to have a pause in weightloss after the first two weeks...take a moment and read this

Maybe you have a high metabolic resistance? It's the first thing I thought of...Originally posted by kgold1ummm.. i addes bars and 2 tablespoons of low carb penut butter... and that's all.. i didn't loose much weight in the 2 weeks of induction to beign with.. only 3 pounds im hoping i lloose more in the upcoming weeks.. it's disappointing but im hanging in there... this week i will eat bars and next week i will go back on induction..

The advantage bars send me out of ketosis too. I only eat one now if I am going on a 4-5 mile hike, I'll stop in the middle and have an advantage bar and a bottle of water, other than that, I stay away from them! And, like everyone else said, check the ingredients, if you are going to extend induction, you can't have nuts yet.Chriss Female 246/236/160 5'3"
