  • Quick Question

I don't know if I put this in the right spot but I was in Walmart yesterday browsing and I came across Torani sugar free vanilla flavoring syrup. It's made with splenda and the bottle says 0 carbs...

So my question is, has anyone used this and is it illegal during induction?

    (I guess that's 2 questions...haha)

    Re: Quick Question

Wow, I was just trying to find this brand and about to research it. I assumed it was ok because I used Da Vinci SF Hazelnut last week thanks to recipes on Linda's site. She had induction recipes listed and the dessert recipes that were induction friendly used SF syrups. Thanks, I'll be heading to Walmart.

      Re: Quick Question

I just bought some Torani - I thought it tasted great. Yes it is OK for induction - just have to count it as one of your legal sweeteners (of the 3 you are allowed a day)

          Re: Quick Question

I actually put it in my tea...I was sick so I used it as sweetener and loved it!

On the bottle it gives a recipe for vanilla soda by adding the syrup to sparkling water or club soda....I'm gonna give it a try this weekend!

          I'll report back

There's lots more to Atkins than chicken and steak! The Splenda based syrups can make a decaf coffee or tea with heavy cream taste like a heavenly treat.

You can sweeten your cream cheese with it for a dessert. Better yet: sweeten your half-cup serving of canned pumpkin and/or cream cheese with it for a very satisfying dessert. There are many more flavors besides vanilla.

As long as you obey the rule of three servings of artificial sweetener a day, the liquid Splenda syrups have no carbs at all, unlike the powdered kind, which have dextrose and maltodextrin as carriers.
People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.

I pour it over crushed ice for a cold drink in hot weather. It's great!
