  • THOUGHTS OF MOVING TO OWL

I AM SERIOUSLY THINKING ABOUT MOVING TO OWL. NOT BECAUSE I WANT TO HAVE A GREATER FOOD VARIETY, BUT BECAUSE MY WEIGHTLOSS HAD SLOWED DRASTICALLY.

BEFORE I JUMP THE GUN, I'VE DECIDED TO WAIT UNTIL THE END OF NEXT WEEK TO MAKE THIS TRANSITITION. REASON BEING-TOM HAS BEEN AROUND THIS WEEK :yikes. I'M PRETTY SURE THAT THIS IS THE REASON FOR THE SLOWED LOSS, AND I WANT TO BE POSTITIVE BEFORE I MOVE ON TO OWL PREMATURELY.

AT THE SAME TIME, MOVING TO OWL MAY GIVE MY BODY THE BOOST IT NEEDS TO JUMPSTART WEIGHTLOSS AGAIN.

I AM ALSO KEEPING IN MIND THAT I AM STILL LOSING INCHES :yes

I EXERCISE ABOUT 1 1/2 HR EVERYDAY AND I SWITCH IT UP SO I DON'T GET BOARD AND MY BODY NEVER KNOWS WHAT'S COMING!

I ALSO DRINK BETWEEN 120-140 OZ OF WATER DAILY.

I HAVE NOT CHEATED ONCE SINCE I STARTED (AND HAVE NO PLANS ON DOING SO.

SO I WILL GIVE IT ABOUT A WEEK AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.

I'M JUST GLAD I'M NOT AT A STALL, I AM AFTER ALL STILL LOSING INCHES :joy

Since the first rung of OWL is vegetables, it's really not as intimidating as it sounds. I stayed on the veggie rung for a long time before I progressed any further...and being a veggie lover, I was quite comfortable there. :yes

I might do that too then. I also love veggies, and frankly, I wouldn't mind climbing up to berries before summer's over! My weight is coming off very slowly, but inches are rolling off so I sure can't complain. Maybe we can haunt these boards and the Owl board iyshiaf LOL

I was a little scared of moving up to OWL, but my body was telling me it was time. I had been on induction for a long time and it was second nature to me. OWL is more work in terms of really watching what you eat and looking for how your body reacts, etc. However, it's sooo important for achieving lifetime success. I'm glad I made the move.

Moving to OWL was a good thing for me too. I loved having the berries during the summer, and my weight loss started increasing. Good luck whatever you decide!

remember you are thinking about 5 net carbs of those induction veggies that you already eat and know don't give you cravings if you are scared or being adventerous and going for a few of them you haven't tried. I love veggies and added multiple rung 1 5 net carbs until I had my fill of veggies and could use all the mushrooms, pepers oininos, eggp[lant, and maters in my sauces and still have salad and other veggies on my plate.

You can do this When TOM goes away try it cause the cure for OWL trouble is dropping to added foods and eating higher fat to stabilize you if you got cravings and if itstalls your weight loss out lowering your carbs back down 5 net which would put you right back into induction from rung one. So come on give it a shot.

Remeember Dr Atkins in DANDR says those folk that work all 4 phases of his program have a very very low regain rate cause you spend months procticing your new eating habits and learning in a controlled manner how each food in a food group effects you. And you learn techniques to help you regain control should blood sugar swings happen while you proctice protion control too.

Thinjk of each rung as like when you started induction only 14 days to see what happens and if it works.

                    HAppy OWLing to you.
