How much weight loss in 3 weeks can I expect?

  • How much weight loss in 3 weeks can I expect?

    I have 3 weeks to hit my first goal which is a huge gathering. How much can I expect to lose in 3 weeks on induction and working out almost everyday???
    It would be great to hear some motivating figures ))

    I can tell you 30 lbs if that's motivating, but you'd know it's not true.

    There's no way to tell how fast you'll lose. I see you have extended your Induction, so you're out of the first 14 days (I've moved this thread to the "Extended Induction" forum). Some people stall in extended Induction, others lose just fine. No one can predict. My advice is to avoid time goals of the type "I need to/should lose 5 lbs in the next 2 weeks." You are only setting yourself up for disappointment.

    That being said, I'm sure you'll be smaller in 3 weeks. Happy losing!

      Keep it going.
      And my crystal ball is a bit cloudy too for a moment but it looks like you are on a roll

        You guys are terribly funny. I want to be at my goal by the time I take a trip home to Florida in November. I soooo wanted to ask if that was possible and I saw this post. I did know that was the answer, though.
        149.8/no weigh/ 119



        1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
        what the rungs mean to me:
        rung 1 - more veggies
        rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
        rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
        rung 4 - berries, melon
        rung 5 - wine -
        rung 6 - beans, hummus
        rung 7 - other fruits
        rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
        rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
        Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
        (on to pre-maintenance)

          We can't tell you because no one has the same body, the same lifestyle, etc. I didn't loose on extended induction so I took some advise from one of the moderators and moved on to Rung 1 of OWL - once I added the additional 5 net carbs of veggies I started loosing again.

          Follow the plan, exercise, drink at least 64 ounces of pure water daily and you'll find out when you get there how much you were able to loose. Good luck.

            Hi Puggle! I agree - you shouldn't set yourself up for disappointment, but I also think it's great to set a goal. I have a business meeting August 9th with several people I haven't seen in years. I've set out a pair of jeans (that I coincidentally haven't worn in several years ) right on the bathroom counter. That's my goal...if I make it great! If not, those jeans will still be there when I get back!

              Thanks everyone for your support.. I am just determined to lose some of the weight before this special day. It popped up out of no where (as most things do) and I thought I had another 6 weeks or so oh well ....... and I'm actually starting over It's kind of a bummer actually I lost 20 pounds in 4 weeks went on a Vegas vacation, went off the diet and gained 10 pounds in 5 days... I am back on the wagon again and this time I am going to work out!!! Thanks again
