    hi everyone,

    After two months of following Atkins i have lost 15 kgs .i feel more energetic,active ,confident and happy.I am going to continue extended induction for 2 months more coz i have to lose around 40 kgs.I am very happy with atkins but there is just one problem

    since Atkins is a high fat diet, all that fat is showing up on my face..I have got horrible acne all over my face.The pimples r really big n ugly,they sit there for about 2 weeks n leave marks before leaving ..and then some new ones take their place..

    I am so up set. my face has ruined ..it looks red and blotchy due to acne marks...

    what should i do ...please help

    You have already lost nearly 40% of the weight you wanted to lose

    I would suggest starting the move on up the carbohydrate ladder and adding more food 'groups' rather than staying on induction for longer.

    Adding more veg/nuts/berries might be just the thing to help improve your skin too

      clean n clear works wonders i got the start up set thats kinda like proactive and honestly in 2 days have seen a huge difference in my face!!

        I would go into your pharmacy and ask them. All countries are different. I got something for my daughter here in The Netherlands that I had never heard of and works wonders. Might not even be legal in the U.S.

        what the rungs mean to me:
        rung 1 - more veggies
        rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
        rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
        rung 4 - berries, melon
        rung 5 - wine -
        rung 6 - beans, hummus
        rung 7 - other fruits
        rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
        rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
        Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
        (on to pre-maintenance)

          Extra fat in our diet means extra oil on our face... Washing your face 3 times a day with hot water to get all of that extra oil off should help within a couple of weeks... (Assuming you didn't have acne before starting Atkins?)
