  • Should I do extended induction? I Don't know what to do?

    I was 163lbs and lost 4lbs in the first week of induction. Nothing the second week and I'm starting the third week. What do I do now? EXTENDED? OWL? I don't know what to do next.

    My goal is 130-135lbs. HELP!!! Thank you

    P.S. also what new foods could I have? Sweets?

    You don't have a lot to lose, so I think you should start moving up through OWL, work on finding your CCLL, learn how foods affect you. This is needed so you'll have the upper hand when you get to maintenance and be able to maintain your hard won weight loss.

    First phase, OWL 1, is more veggies, 5 more grams per day of veggies from one of the induction veggie lists.

    Try not to focus on sweets. I am finding trying more veggies interesting, although I'm having trouble branching out from jicama and pumpkin right now.

      4 lbs is not bad at all --- it's over 13% of the weight you needed to lose.

      Re-read Chapters 12 and 13 in DANDR 2002 and they will help you decide what your next step should be. If I were you, I would move to OWL. Your degree of metabolic resistance is likely overestimated because of the bars and Jell-O. Plus, as Erin said, you do not have a lot to lose.

      Post a few menus in the "Review My Menu" forum, including quantities. We can take a look over them and see if there's anything that requires tweaking.

      As adorable as your question is, sweets only come in OWL Rung 10. OWL Rung 1 is more veggies.

      You only gave up (I hope) eating bars and Jell-O (was that all? any diet sodas?) a week or so ago. And you clearly have an addiction to sweets, since you also asked about fruits and stuff. So it is better if you avoid sweets all together, at least for now, instead of feeding your sweet tooth.
