  • no more swollen ankles!

    i don't know if it's atkins or the absence of wheat in my diet, but i suddenly no longer have swollen ankles atthe end of the day! yay!!

    as I am giving up wheat and stuff and atkins, i am almost agreeing with you, Its nice isnt it?

      Whoopeeeeee! My ankles are also not swelling any more. It's a nice effect...

          Because of gravity, feet/ankles is where we most easily notice swelling. So when the swelling goes away, it will be also more noticeable there.

          First of all, Atkins has a natural diuretic effect, so you will be retaining less water than on other eating plans. Then you might be also eliminating foods that you are allergic too (e.g. wheat, which can be a problem for some people). Furthermore, you are likely giving your body better nutrition than before, which also helps move things around. Plus you are losing weight, so there's less pressure put on your feet.
