Darn thing this period (aka TOM) I don't even weigh myself. I bloat visibly. So yes what you are experiencing is completely normal.

What will go away? Not your period. It is a natural thing. Our biologial survival of the species depends on it. Celebrate it. Be proud!!!

I get like that. I don't weigh myself till its over. I always feel like I have gained weight (well the one time I did weigh myself to see, I had gained weight), but once its over, my weight goes back down. So, it is like I just have to wait it out for a few days.

UGH that would explain why the scale hasn't budged much for me. Mine is coming in about a week and It has stayed the same for the last couple of days.

Re: Does an upcoming period stall weightloss momentarily??

Show me a woman who claims she doesn't experience bloat/water retention, fatigue, moodiness, etc etc etc and I'll show you a rarity.

Just because we're eating healthy and watching the scale doesn't mean it's doing anything that it hasn't always done. Most of us are just paying closer attention.

Fat loss does not stall during TOM, but water retention sure does get ugly.

But..the good news? We get to wear lipstick. LOL

Hmmm...well, I have TOM arriving any day so that could explain the lovely and odd weight gain I've been experiencing. I do so HATE this part.

No whammie, no whammie, no whammie....doh! I may just give up on the weighing for the rest of the week....shocker for me. Just so demoralizing to see that scale inch upwards even if you KNOW you are doing things perfectly.
