  • Hey Hey Hey

Well it only took about 3 weeks but my computer is back and now i am back as well!!! yippy!! well needless to say i kinda feel off the bandwagon during those two weeks....lots of stress, lots of tempation...lucky i didn't gain anything...but i certainly didn't lose....so now i am sitting at 163 and i have been back on induction this week. My question is this, if i have been off atkins for an extended period of time (2 weeks) is it nessacary to go on induction for the full 14 days or am I able to move after i reach ketosis?

    thanks guys!!!

I'm not sure but, I know muself I would do the full 2 weeks cause you have been off and need to switch your body back over to fat burning mode.

I'm pretty sure that you can go right back to OWL as soon as you are in ketosis, but I would add on a couple of days more of induction to make sure you aren't going to trigger cravings for sweeter foods (depending on where you are in OWL). This is unless you have no cravings for all the foods you cheated with in the past few weeks. I just know that I couldn't handle it.

The real answer is it is personal. You really only have to get yourself back into ketosis, but personally I would add the step of getting myself totally back in control of my eating. I did the same thing through a bit of stress that I had and overate nuts (portion control was not my friend). I am going back to strict Induction to get myself back under control and then I can start progressing again.

If you think you have yourself where stress and temptation can't touch you anymore, then by all means progress to OWL.
