I have a cold and took a dose of Dayquil this morning without thinking. I checked the ingredients online and most of what they use to make it not taste like turpentine is saccharin, malitol, stuff like that. BUT the last ingredient of the "inactive" ingredients is (dun, dun, dun) SUCRALOSE! Being it doesn't have a carb listing or anything like that, did I just screw myself up? I'm hoping it's such an infinitesimal amount that it won't matter. Anyone know?

Re: Dayquil
Sucralose is Splenda. So count it towards your daily sweeteners.
I don't know what Dayquil is and what you could take instead, but someone in the US might be able to help with that.

Re: Dayquil
Oh that's a relief...I think I got it confused in my head with Sucrose. Dayquil is a multi-sympton cold medicine that isn't supposed to make you drowsy. It's liquid. They also make a nighttime version Nyquil with a sedative to help sleep when you're sick. I was almost positive there was sugar in it, but thankfully, I was wrong. YAY!~Sarah

Re: Dayquil
Depending on your symptoms, there are "diabetic" versions of cold remedies on the market. You may want to ask your pharmacist so you are prepared if and when you need something again.
When you are alone in your head, you are in a bad neighborhood.

Re: Dayquil
Sucralose is fine, Sarah... potential freak-out avoided!
[Also, I remember reading that ingredients go in order of concentration, so if it's listed as last, then there's probably not that much in there. Hooray for cough syrup -- I love the stuff!]
