  • More Info on Water

This was taken from the March/April issue of Low Carb Living Magazine

Inital Weight loss when dieting is largely the result of loss of water, and you must replace this water to avoid dehydration. There are two great reasons to quench your thirst. One, your metabolism is a chemical process that requires adequate water. Two, you must take in water to flush out the toxins in your body. Without those processes functioning smoothly, you compromise your weight loss. For most people in a moderate climate, six to eight 8-ounce glasses of water per day is about right. So drink up!!!

Has anyone noticed how different sources of water tastes different?

For example, I can taste the difference between the water from my filter, from the tap, water I get at work, and then today I went to a restaurant and their water tasted so much better than the water at home. It's all just water, but I'm finding subtle differences in each.

        It's kind of nice

I think my well water is the best tasting water in the world, but it gives me kidney stones (sigh). Have you ever had San Pelligrino? It is a mineral spring water and it is sooo good.

I am the Perrier queen, everywhere I go my little green glass bottle follows, the staff at Shoppers Drugs just laugh when hubby comes in, they say "what no bottled water today?" they always tease him about buying Perrier. Mind you he looks like a rocker with long hair, and denim and leather so no doubt it must seem funny to them to see that. Lemon perrier is the nectar of the gods!

                    H2O is the best drink...

I actually got in 160 ounces of water yesterday. If nothing else, the weight should float away with that much water in my system. :joy
