Nitrate Free

Can someone please tell me where I can find nitrate free bacon? I live on the east cost (VA) and we have grocery stores like Wal-Mart (of course!!), kroger, food lion, etc. Thank you!!

Do you have Trader Joe's Grocery store in VA? We have them here in Maryland, they have sugarfree/nitrate free bacon. It's very tasty too!

I buy their uncured (nitrite/nitrate free) products and they are very good. They also have a store locator across the US.

Let me add to that last post.....If you can get it in a store like Trader Joe's (where I get my products) it is wayyyy cheaper than the prics they advertise online.

Like previous posters mentioned, Trader Joes. Whole Foods has a great selection if you have them in VA. Most health food stores that carry grocery items will have nitrate free stuff.

It's more expensive, but I make a once a month trip to Whole Foods to get the nitrate-free bacon and use it sparingly.
