    Sausage/Bacon

When I went to the store I bought Jimmy Dean original pork sausage links. I didnt have my glasses on so I didnt read the ingredients. When I got home, I read that it has sugar :yikes in it! I wont eat it!

Does anyone know of a good mild tasting sausage that we can eat?

I also bought Gwaltney hardwood smoked bacon and am hesitant to eat this because sugar is on the labe. :help

We have a store in Maryland called Trader Joe's that sells sugar free/ nitrate free bacon & sausage. Do you have an organic store around you, we have one called Whole Foods that also sells them but at a higher price. We also have an Amish farmer that sells his own sausage in the fall, it is soooo good!

I don't eat bacon or sausage too many fillers I have had home made stuff nummy. I find that if I eat those things I get horrid cravings and I quit losing weight so I would rather not have that stuff but, it is up to personal preference and I do love both sausage and bacon MMMM.

Bob Evans sausage (according to the label) does not have any sugar added. But then again... perhaps I should take a closer look and search for things ending in -ose. But last time I checked, "sugar" was not listed.

I was going to say that the Jimmy Dean sausage in the "log" form is all 100% pork. No fillers, no sugar, no nitrates. And it's very yummy.
