  • On extended induction but still feel horrible

So I'm on my third week of induction and I'm still feeling tired and my shoulders, back and legs ache. I do take daily calcium, magnesium, zinc and potassium and gluconate supplements. I get my 3 cups of veggies. The other carbs I get are from 1 splenda packet per day and 2 tbsp of heavy cream. I thought aches and fatigue were symptoms that were suppose to go after one week but it's now my third week and I still feel like this. It's not even because I'm losing rapid amount of weight as I lost 4 lbs during the 2 week induction. This problem is the only thing that makes me want to stop atkins. Will this pass with time?

On a different topic, I don't know if this has anything to do with atkins but I feel like I can see better like my vision is clearer. Has anyone experienced this?

Can you give an example of your daily menu?
    Are you working out?

You are right that this is not supposed to go on. I have never felt long time tired on Atkins

Are you eating enough food and in particular maximising the allowance of 3 cups of veg by choosing those with more nutrition than others like lettuce (aka chewy water)?

You might find moving to OWL helps how you feel.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Hi, sorry your having such a hard time. I'm moving to day 11 and i felt horrible the first two days then after that it's been great. I haven't cheated at all except black coffee in the am with plenty and I mean plenty of water. One thing that I found interesting while i have been on this is the research part. This might be something you want to look into. It's called the blood type diet and well to me after being on this atkins and what im eating on induction fits my blood type and i don't remember the last time I have felt so good with so much energy and well my biggest problem with diets is feeling hungry. This diet I never feel hungry so check it out you maybe be eating something that's really bothering your body like an allergy to something. Here;s a link i liked Blood Type Diet
