  • Bad week

Man right after I introduced myself saying how great and easy staying on Atkins was. I started to fall off the wagon and gained back 5 pounds from strawing from the path. So I am back to 260 again sadly.

So to combat this sudden hissy fit my mind/body has thrown. I am going to start waking up at 4 am and go for my run. Then have times during the day to hit myself with Push Up/Sit Up "breaks" to keep my mind focused. In addition I am starting a blog to make myself accountable for my actions. If I mess up, everyone will know.

Hopefully turning my life upside down will help get me in the right mind set.
    Mini Goals:

    1: 270
    2: 260
    3: 250
    4: 240
    5: 230
    6: 220

Hey DK, good for you for getting back up and dusting yourself off. That's all you can do, that and learn from it, which it sounds like you have. Good luck with the workouts, I am also going to start getting up at 4 am to workout before work. Hang in there!!

Hi, glad you got back on the wagon

Do you remember how/why you started to slip off? Having a plan to deal with that type of situation when it comes up again helps alot. Best wishes,

You know I don't even really remember on how it started. I do know what helped it along the way. It was peanuts. Must be one of my foods that I need to stay very far away from. Had some at my friends party and then it kind of went out of control.

        No more peanuts for me

There are times when I have problems with nuts as well. If I buy a big bag to ration out I always eat too many. The only time I am safe to eat peanuts is only in an emergency. Since I am a STAC memeber and on Induction I am avoiding them altogether for now.

            Good luck!

Thanks for all the words of encouragement.

I was back at 255.5 this morning so I was happy about that. Still got about 25 pounds before I can make the tape for the military. Then I hope to get down to about 200'ish for my total goal weight. Just can't wait to get all these pounds off and get back into the shape I used to be. Back in high school I played football, basketball, track & field, and some baseball. If I did those things now I am sure I would fall out.

They'll come off, just got to make sure I plan things out next time I go to a party or something.
