  • egg question

I was wondering if pre prepared scrambled eggs....from real eggs....like if u go to a diner/buffee are made with sugar/other carb things....i just had some cheese eggs and bacon at a local dinner but now i am worried the eggs have hidden carbs (there wasn't that much cheese)

    Hi!
When I was in college I waitressed at Cracker Barrel and I know their scrambled eggs are made from a pre-made mix that contains other things besides just eggs. If you order over easy or what not those are fresh cracked. To be on the safe side I would order fresh cracked scrambled eggs. I always say that I am allergic to some ingredient in the egg mixture and they happily oblige. Good luck! ha

yep always ask about any ingredients in any foods you will be eating out and ask if it is the real thing like bacon id fake in many places for salads and stuff. IHOP has pancake mix in the omlettes to make them fluffier. you can ask for fresh egg omelettes instead.

        I Hop pancake batter

2bigformysize - I just heard that I-Hop puts pancake batter in their omlets too! That really makes me mad! They must be aware that they have customers coming in there that are ordering omlets because they are on low-carb lifestyle! So the solution is to ask for a "fresh egg omlet?"

Wow!! I'm sure glad you asked this question. I would've never known about the fake eggs and especially the pancake batter in the omelets, whoa! I would've been upset! Thanks for asking and sharing guys.

Hmm i never knew this- it is always good to find out new info to help us alon. i guess the best rule of thumb is to always say that you want the fresh eggs scrambled/omlett/ whatever and no substitutions.
