  • I Beat the Stall!!!

    Ok. So I've had a really big stall the last few weeks (4 to be exact)...and today the scale finally went down!!! 1.5 pounds!!! I'll take it!

    I have realized though that this is a journey, a lifetime lesson, a learning experience, and I can do this.

    I realized I have to cut the sweets....like seriously. Even the Ross sugar free chocolates and homemade desserts with splenda. That's what stalls me. And THAT's OK. I can live without until I get to maintenance.

    I just wanted to tell everyone to not give up! If you are stalling or feel the motivation start to slip away, get on the boards. Re-evaluate your diet. Try different recipes. DON'T GIVE UP!

    I don't post much but I stalk and I cannot tell you how eye opening it is to see that everyone's journey is different but our goals and determination are so similar.

    Congratulations!! It's so great to hear from people like you who don't give up.

    This is just what I needed today -- I started serious exercising 3 weeks ago and the scale hasn't budged. I'm starting to feel the difference in how my clothes fit so I guess it's time to get out the measuring tape so I can take my mind off the %(*#$(*# scale!

      Wonderful that you stuck it out.
      And great that you figured out what to do.
      Most people do not realize that sweeteners are huge stallers. I know that I lose better without them.
      And certainly sugar alcohols (like those in the chocolates) are very often actually absorbed like any sugar carb (even though they claim otherwise on the label)
