Ok, I know I'm always preaching about drinking water, but I did something yesterday and I'm not sure it was safe. I have a water mug that holds 4 cups of water. Yesterday, I was really thirsty, I filled that thing 4 times throughout the day so I had 128 oz of water which equals a GALLON of water! I also had 2 cups of decaf in the morning and 2 cups of iced tea with dinner! That's a lot of fluids my friends! The weird thing is, I slept through the night without getting up to pee. So do you think it's ok to drink that much water?

The rule of thumb for water is 64 ounces plus an additional 8 ounces for every 25 pounds you are overweight.
128 ounces is around what you should be drinking everyday at your current weight.~Megs~

The other 2 are right- just be sure that you are not guzzeling it down all at once as that is unhealthy and could be counter productive- but congrats on all that fluid, if you tall you may want to cut back on the coffee and tea as it stalls some.ORIGINALLY STARTED:

I've also noticed that I have a tiny appetite now, I'm satisfied with a lot less food. I guess my stomach is too full of water to hold much food. I'm losing a pound every two days.Chriss Female 246/236/160 5'3"

actually you could have been thirsty for the whole time you have been doing Atkins and just got confused in your brain messages as many folk confuse thirt for hunger cause the control centers are side by side in the brain and chemical spillover regularly occurs trigering hunger signals when we are really thirsty.
Back in my ball playing days our team doc told us if you didn't urinate within 30 min of taking a drink you were dehydrated.
