Women only: Sugar cravings ... chocolate cravings ...
What do you do when you get TOM sugar and chocolate cravings? Are there any good low-carb delicious treats I can make to help out the overwhelming urge to stuff my face with chocolates?
Thanks!
Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're probably right.
Re: Women only: Sugar cravings ... chocolate cravings ...
Whipped heavy cream with a tad of cocoa (allowed on induction in spice amounts)
Cheese cake if I have some around
I think we have to establish new comfort foods - and that is what I am working on. Legal comfort foods.
Chocolate does become legal on rung 3- and I do eat some very dark chocolate.
Or make chocolate bark using coconut oil, cocoa and a sweetener.
Unlike J (Atkinsgal) who says in many of her post that she has learned to live without chocolate - my aim is to embrace chocolate - but in non sugared form
Stay strong - work on it. I like the idea of tea - there is a nice tea from Celestial teas called English Toffee - which sometimes just help greatly.
And just to add - some people speculate that chocolate cravings may be do to magnesium shortage - so that is something to think about too.

Liv, thank you!
I am like you, I'm not planning to cut out chocolate. Especially since I have been SOOO close to just giving up atkins and buying some chocolate bars. I really appreciate it!!!

I'm with you today! I heard about induction-friendly shakes made of raw eggs, cream, and vanilla extract that I've been thoroughly enjoying. It's important to have very fresh, local eggs though, of course. Blend it up with ice and it tastes like homemade vanilla ice cream!!!
The past couple hours, I can't stop eating pepperjack cheese! Thanks TOM.

Melly, I make the same things on occasion and when I'm jonesing for chocolate I add a dash of cocoa powder (unsweetened of course) and that seems to help. Personally, I'm wondering how well it would freeze for "ice cream".
