Oh My! Until this evening I had never eaten a radish EVER!

In my effort to try new veggies, tonight I tried Rosie Radish Home Fries from Linda's website, along with Chicken Nuggets (Sugar Free Sheila's recipe)

The radishes were fantastic! And so was the chicken. The radishes were just like eating red-skinned potatoes. And the chicken was so tasty!

    What a "WOE"!

I don't remember if it was radish exactly, but I think it was. Some have said it was a hit or miss on the "potatoes" opinion. I've never had radish before myself, but I'm curious about it, especially since I LOVE red skinned potatoes.

      Hey Pibbman,

How ya du-in'? (as we sometimes say here in Chicago)

Yeah these radishes fried up and cooked with onions, to me they were like the diced style of hash browns. Haven't had a potato in more than 10 weeks!

And they were cooked just enough to be not too soggy; they held up like a diced potato, too. Overcooking they may possibly burn or turn mushy I would think.

I have not seen the posts about the recipe.

      Give them a try.

I may have to do that. Yeah the other posts said it came out a bit mushy for them and stuff, so those people may have cooked them wrong.

I love radishes but have never thought of cooking them. I always ate them raw. Thanks for sharing!

              Hi all,
Just finished eating the fried radishes again and I wanted to add one comment. I always do a quick toss in a strainer to remove any excess cooking oil before I eat them.

Hi folks, just thought I'd throw my 2 cents worth in about the radishes. I grew a whole slew of them this year and had radishes sliced up and sautéed in butter along with my fav portebello mushrooms and peppers. They were great, I'd actually for gotten about them till I read your
posts so I'll have to check my produce section to see if there are any around. (Not likely) I found they were similar to zucchini, in that, they blended flavours with other vegies. Next thing to try is the zucchini "noodles" imagood1 mentioned.
