  • how bad was this?

I seem to have hit the two week stall. While de-bloated to the tune of 16 pounds in 2 weeks....maybe just give it a week before I panic..ehh? I know this works.

Here's what I ate today...with estimated net carbs

breakfast - italian sausage link/small burger with mayo (1)

lunch - 2 ounces of steak, 2 carb EAS protein shake, 3 ounces of mozzarella cheese and about 5 ounces of salami (5)

dinner - tialpia (2small filets) with crabmeat (1)
    mashed cauliflower (4-5 tablespoons) (4)
two crab stuffed button mushrooms (3)
5 tablespoons of butternut squash soup (couldn't resist) (4)

total net carbs = about 18 or 20

note that the crab stuffing consisted of egg, shallot, parmesan cheese and seasoning, cauliflower had cream and cheese in it and the salami and cheese listed zero carbs on the label.

    >>cheese listed zero carbs on the label>>

All cheese has carbs ... as you know from your reading of DANDR, you can count 1 ounce of cheese at 1 net carb ... though if you look it up, it's likely to be less.

Why are your carbs "estimated"? Why not be accurate?

You went over the cheese limit for the day.

And butternut squash isn't an Induction vegetable.

Did you make all this or was it already prepared?

well I am estimating the carbs because the Atkins book has a carb counte for 1/4 cup or 1/2 cups....I measured tablespoons. I believe the carb count on these things is mostly estimate anyway. In the book, and other places, carb count is for "About a cup" or "About 2.4 carbs"...it isn't exact like the piece of caulifower can't be bigger than a quarter and no more then 3 florets.

While I agree the cheese was excessive, it wasn't in favor of chips or candy. I guess I answered my own question by keeping my carb intake close to induction level so it wasn't that bad. I know butternut squash is not induction approved......but 5 tablespoons??? probably equates to 2 tables spoons of pureed squash.

Just to squash and poor effect from my food choices today...I did 45 minutes of the elyptical and 15 minutes on the treadmill burning about 800 calories.

      Thanks for the feedback
