I've started induction on 20/10,I broke some rules on and off, lost nothing even most of the days I ate no more than 20g carb(now I know why),so I restart the induction on 17/11.

My period finished on 15/10,but still not coming for this month,I've never experience that before,I did pregnancy test and I'm not pregnant,I wonder is it related to atkins diet?

    I'm 31 yrs old btw.

Yes, it's normal to be stuck in limbo while your body adjusts. Just google "low carb diet period." There's a wealth of info on the web about it. Sometimes it takes the body awhile to adjust and things may return to normal for you or you may discover a new normal for your body.

        Allowed... yes.

Recommended... not by me. Real foods from the Acceptable Foods List are always better (the ingredients in bars are not on the list).

Are you looking to "treat" your sweet tooth? Better don't, imo. Induction is the time to break addictions to sweets.

If you really must have something sweet, then at least make something at home. I'm sure your desserts don't have stuff like hydrolyzed collaged, soy nuggets, oat flour, rolled oats, etc. in them.

If you read DANDR, the bars were intended for emergencies. No one has an emergency twice a day for every day of the week.

Also... the meal plan is not correct, mainly because not all foods there are acceptable during Induction.

Use the Acceptable Foods List in DANDR (the one at Atkins.com is not correct, nor complete) to plan your own menus.

The rest is sugar alcohols and glycerine.

Also, the bars were tested in the lab of Dr. Wolever of the Univerisity of Toronto and the carbs listed are not net carbs per se, but so-called "net Atkins carbs". These are carbs determined based on the mean effect the bars had on the subjects' blood sugar levels.

Oh, and I should add that some people are stalled by bars... and who knows how many are slowed down without even knowing it.

Georgiana is right The old Atkins company website even used to have a page talking about how people 'may' have problems losing if they eat their products regularly and if you suspect they are a problem for you then to drop them from your menus.

The word 'may' as used by advertisers often in my opinion means 'will', but maybe I am an old cynic

Somehow that page seems to have vanished into cyberspace!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

This is from Atkins Essentials (2003), Chapter 5 (the emphasis is not mine):

"It is important that you eat primarily unprocessed foods, but some controlled carb food products can come in handy when you are unable to find appropriate foods, can't take time for a meal or need a quick snack. [...]

Note: Do not consume more than two servings of low carb alternative foods during Induction, and remember that you still must count your grams of Net Carbs. If you have trouble losing weight you may want to replace these products with protein and fat whole foods during the Induction phase."
