  • I sooooo need your help!!!

Okay so I'm having a bad night here at work and to compensate, most of the time, I'll just eat candy or whatever. :anger :anger

Well, tonight, I had approx. 50 pistachios. I know, not the worst thing but now I'm beating myself up. Should I be???

Help! I need some support. :help :help :help

Hi Sassy! What are your work hours? I work 10p-6a (PST). It is always fun to see someone else posting late.

So, should you beat yourself up? Of course not!! But, you need to know that you can't keep doing that, too. Just drink your water and get back on track starting now. Don't let this be an excuse to throw all your hard work out the door!

It is really hard for me at work too. The cooks here bring gallon sized freezer bags of cookies over to us and leave them in the office. Sometimes it is plates of brownies. I just try to make sure I bring things in to eat. When I don't, that is when I am most likely to screw up. Last night I put some pepperoni in the oven on broil, and they made really awesome little crisp chip like things. Yum!

    Good Luck!

      Hi,

Below my post is the nutrition info on 1 cup of roasted salted pistachios.....So you will see they have more carbs that you would think nuts would have...I don't know how many nuts are in a cup, but it could be around 50....But DON'T beat yourself up. Just get up, brush yourself off and jump back on the wagon...No regrets, just know that there is the potential for snack attacks at work and take some induction friendly snacks with you for munching......I have read on a post that Moochiecat likes cut up radish chunks and pepperoni chunks for snacks .......I have not tried it, but it is atkins friendly and she says they help her....

Also, try to get out of the habit of snacking mindlessly or out of boredom..Induction is time to recognize the habits that make us fat and break free from them.

      Good Luck

Hey I just thought of something good to do.....Try taking a waterbottle with you...Every time you get the urge to snack, drink your water....You will be amazed at how well it works!

Thanks! I was actually eating out of frustration and anger...bad bad bad. Just had a bad bad night and hey, at least I didn't eat the Reeses, right? :sarcasm

I work 5 pm to 12:30 am. Usually eat dinner around 8:30 pm. So breakfast for me isn't until like noon!

During times of eating, it is a good thing to think about it consciously. Are you eating a planned induction meal? If snacking, ask yourself is you are hungry, angry, lonely or tired? Sometimes with many of us, snacking became a bad habit to relieve boredom. New behaviors can replace bad habits, but the first step is to acknowledge the habit. Drink water. Put on fresh lipstick or chapstick, brush your teeth or floss, wash your hands and use a moisturizer. Do something that may postpone the snack attack until you can plan better choices.

When you are alone in your head, you are in a bad neighborhood.
