  • Hi Losers! and the Doctor said..............

"make sure you don't buy your scale from that store because you only lost 9 lbs. That's a start and I'm happy. As I get more active I expect to see and feel more results. I am not active enough and I face it. Blood pressure is better but still a little high. She agreed to have me stay off metformin as long as i keep on top of my sugar readings.

My Doctor- "you're a big guy with massive shoulders and big muscled arms and legs..if i placed 9 lbs of bodyfat on the table...you'd be happy with your progress" I think it's great and keep up the good work"

    have a great weekend everyone.

plz rec. i need to buy a scale tht will read over 300lbs. what are decent.

#2 has anyone noticed the coconut oil supps the folks at lowcarbfriends are raving about...sup with all that? :joy

9# is huge and is nothing to scoff at. Good job at that, and keep up the great work.

As for scales, I have always liked my Tanita HD-351, which weighs up to 440 pounds (important for me at the time), has 5 memories, and is accurate (VERY accurate) to .2 pounds. It was more expensive than the Walmart scales, but not much more ($70). Tanita is also a great brand in scales.

Again congrats on your progress so far.

Definitely find things that are equal to the amount of weight you lose and carry them around for a while!! It'll blow you away!
I carried a 15kg box of kitty litter to the car one day just to see how heavy it was, and I could hardly support it with my arms and my back. Turns out that when we did the calculations, I've lost MORE than what that box weighed. It's really trippy!

A big bottle of soda(2 liters here in Canada) weighs 2 kgs, which is 4.4 pounds, so that will give you a starting point.
Or a gallon of water at room temp weighs 8.33 pounds.

If you really want to beimpressed with your loss start saving your empty butter boxes and plice them up they are a pound each and soon you will be seeing how much you are losing. if you add 2 rools of pennies to it you got a pound weight and a pound of fat size too.

That is awesome!! I wish more doctors would be open minded about low carbing. Oh, that is right, most of them have never had to struggle with their weight! ha

Congrats on all your hard work!

                      Yup... 9 pounds is great..

Besides we didn't gain weight in 10 pound increments.. Did we? Nope we put it on a little at a time a few pounds each week , month or year. We can't expect to do it all at once. And if we did it wouldn't last because we wouldn't have the tools to keep it off. No, we have to take this journey so that we can retrain ourselves and purge ourselves of old bad habits..

Keep it up you are doing fine!
