  • increasing calories...HELP

    Hello all. I havent posted anything since my introduction. I have been reading post almost everything and it has been a great help. I finally downloaded fitday and am quite shocked with my caloric intake a day. Need to get my fat intake down alitte to stay in the ratio with protein but my daily caloric intake is less than 1000!!!! I will take any suggestions on how to get more calories a day but keeping my carbs down.

    Actually if you are at 1000 you need more protein and more fat not less. eat more protein fats mixed foods would be the easiest way.

    why don't you post a couple of sample days foods for you and folk can suggest ways to increase it.

      Sample meals for review..Thanks for quick reply 2big

      Breakfast
      2 boiled eggs, or fried with 1 tbs butter
      3 slices bacon

      lunch
      2 cups salad with 1 small tomato, 3 small mushrooms, 4 slices cucumber with 1 tbs ranch dressing
      can of tuna in water.

      dinner
      1 baked pork chop or chicken leg quarter
      1 cup, broccoli

        right off the bat your lunch is low fat. where is the healthy fat since your tuna is water packed? you could use more then one T of dressing if you wanted.

        How did you cook your dinner veggies? how big was your chop? you don't list your current weight in your profile but unless you are a fly weight yo are eating too little protein in grams along with your too low cals

          i will update it when I weigh myself tomorrow. My start weight was 217. I normally steam veggies or boil veggies. Thanks for the help!!! Will increase tomorrow.

            atkins is a ketogenic eating plan, that is high fat moderate protein and low carb. DO not fear the healthy fats as they will help you shed excess body fat.
