After being on the induction i came off and when on to OWL now my weight doesnt seem to be shifting even with regular exercise . What do I do one of the main reasons i left induction in a hurry was because i found food i was cooking boring . I would like ideas on a menu particularly from uk people or anyone with simple ingredients .I am hoping to go back on induction tomorrow . Hope someone can help me .

I'm only on day 17..I don't qualify technically to help...just gonna offer what way I look at food versus my weight. Nowadays, it's about eating to sustain. Emotionally, I realise that I can look down the road and stick to it...or I can continue the former frozen pizza, junk, and whopper man life....and die in my 40's or 50's. Not everyone adapts well to routine. I relate to you getting bored with certain things....but as a morbidly obese man, I believe that if we dropped the entitlement mind-set....we would succeed more and that's about how I look at it. Make recipes and keep certain things at arms length and you'll be fine. Best wishes.....do it because you're beautiful and you want to be round a long time! :nod

Take a moment and give this a read! :yes

If you are exercising, remember that muscle weighs more than fat, so you may still be losing fat, but the scale won't reflect it due to the increased muscle mass.
I stayed on Induction for about 5 months, and I get bored with food quite easily. The thing is to take time and look around for recipes so you get variety within the boundaries of the Acceptable Foods list.
Check the Recipes tab up top, go through the various food Forums on the main page, and also check out Linda's Low Carb site as well:

We've never eaten such a great variety of meals as we do now, because I'm always looking for new things to make...it's fun, and we've enjoyed this whole year of Atkins. I get overwhelmed by the amount of low carb recipes that are out there!

Going back to Induction is fine, but remember that the first rung of OWL is more veggies, so you can settle in there for a while if you want. There is no real time limit at how long you stay in each phase, so proceed as you are comfortable. :yes

A typical induction menu for me was
B: a couple of slices of buttered microwaved flax bread with some slices of tomato on top or a thin smear of Marmite (not really ever been a 'breakfast' person)
L: about a cup of chicken tikka with 1 cup of mixed leaves salad, 1/2 cup cucumbers and about a tablespoon of mayonnaise. (we usually eat at our local cafe on workdays so I had to guess portion sizes and if they gave me too much salad only eat a cupsworth)
D: 'wooshie pie' (minced beef stuffed with a cream cheese/mustard/horseradish filling baked in the oven) with 1/2 cup buttered broccoli and a few grilled tomatoes.
Snacks : 1/2 cup chopped celery in mayonaise, celery sticks spread with pate, cheese crisps, ham rollups etc.

But take a look at the list of acceptable foods and decide what YOU like to eat then work out some menus - you can post them in the 'Review my menu' forum for advice if you like. I used to work out my menus a week in advance to make sure I bought the correct ingredients.

If you use www.fitday.com you can see what amount of carbs they would work out to and adjust quantities/ingredients in advance.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Thank all so much , its your support and advice that gave me the courage to stay on the induction for 14days , an impossibility before . My motivation is kicking in again. Thanks again.

Here was my take on it. Is it important for me to be healthy or was it more important what I was stuffing in my mouth? Have you heard of the 21 day challenge? If you do something continuously for 21 days straight (i.e exercise, leave out sweets, leave out cokes, etc) It becomes a habit and you will more than likely continue it. I had a hard time too and just got to the point I dreaded eating all together. I am beyond that now and although my life used to revolve around food now I eat because I have to and I don't miss it but then again I am not one for tasting "new" foods I like to stick with the same things and that has become a problem. I could eat grilled chicken salads all the time but I know I can't.
            Good Luck!

                Repeat after me...

                "Scales are evil"

Let's say in a 2 week time period, you lose a pound of fat and gain a pound of muscle. The scale won't tell you that. It'll just give you a number. The same number it gave you at the start of the 2 weeks.

Measuring yourself is a much more accurate way of seeing fat loss. Dr. Atkins wrote that inches lost represents the loss of fat from your body.

Post your problem on the OWL board and see what they have to say about it.

Thanks Megs i am going to bare that in mind . I know you are right , when people see how slim you are they dont normally ask what you weigh. So i have decided that i am going to take the battries out of my scales for a couple of weeks .

                        Ebony,
I have done the cardio, cardio circuit1 &2 and the get ripped basic and can get through all of them with little problem. Bootcamp is a different story. It is extreme. Basic bootcamp nearly killed me with the bands. I would recommend it to anyone. You only workout every other day. With the others I worked oput everyday. That should say something about it. I have been tae boeing for 6 months and the first time of bootcamp I only got through 25 minutes and was so sore the next day I thought I was never going to get out of bed!!!
