  • induction - maintenance - induction

Well, I haven't been hanging around here much at all but I have been true to the diet. Well, except during the holidays. I didn't cheat and eat anything that isn't Atkins friendly. My problem is too much of what is allowed! I made a couple of the desserts from the book and I have been WAY over doing it with coffee. I just realized that yesterday after going back on FitDay.com, that I was having about 16 carbs a day in coffee with half and half alone! So NO more! I have cut back to coffee with no half and half. Instead I am now using the Davinci syrup (hazelnut). It says 0 carbs and I realize there are some out there that say don't believe that....but I have to believe that it is better than what I was doing so I'm gonna press on.
Anyway, I am putting my self back on induction for a while til I see some more weight loss. I am so tired of being stuck! I am still about 14 lbs from my original goal weight and I have been stuck for quite a while. Yesterday was my first day back on induction and I was at 10.4 carbs. Today so far I've had 7 carbs (but fit day says my bacon was like 3.2 carbs) . I thought bacon was carb free! anyway 7 is still good so I'm not feeling too bad about today. I can't think of anything I will add to my diet today that will add anymore carbs so I think I will be good for today at under 10 at least.
I have been sucking down water too like a baleen whale with its dinner! I'm exercising daily as usual and hope to see some weight drop off by Monday at least. Crappy thing is I am about to start so the TOM water weight is gonna be creeping up on me too! DANG! I have a trip planned at the end of the month with a girlfriend and I so would like to lose some more weight!
Well, anyway. I'm sticking to what has proven to be tried and true! At least for me that is! Even though I feel like I'm stuck, I'm proud of myself for never cheating and eating that "real" food out there! (so my family calls it)

    Happy New Year to all!

Hi Donna. Thats a lot of coffee. LOL. I think most of your problem is the 1/2 and 1/2 as it is pretty high carb, Heavy cream would have been a better choice, but Davinci syrup is a better choice yet.
Bacon is cured with sugar, but that does sound a little much.
What about your veggies. thats where you should be getting your carbs from.

You have done so well. 74 pounds is nothing to sneeze at. Congratulations.
