  • Outback Steak House?

I went there to eat with a birthday party last night and got a 6 oz steak, seasonal veggies ( i ate the broccoli and 1 baby carrot from) and a side house salad with iceberg, .50 onions, cucumbers, red cabbage, and ranch dressing. Yet i woke up this morning and i had gained almost a pound? any one have any type of these problems ? or should i just not worry bout it cuz my weight may be fluctuating?

Some restaurants use seasonings that contain sugar for their steaks. This helps carmelize the steak and makes it look better. Just something to be aware of and ask about when ordering.

More than likely, however, it's normal body weight fluctuation.

fluid weight gain from all the sodium and/or hidden carbs would be your best answer.
you can get your veggies steamed at OUTBACK without any seasoning added. you can also get your steak without their blend of seasoning too.

It is very much likely the seasonings...usually FULL OF SALT.

I had a very nice steak a few weeks ago at a National chain, ate veggies, Salad with my own dressing, water, all Atkins friendly...next day was up 3#, it took 2 more days to drop the water weight!!!

If I had just remembered to ask for no seasoning...

They do put brown sugar on their vegetables.

Yep. Outback is great and they are usually a good place to go out to eat with others but you have to ask that your steak and veggies be prepared without the seasonings. The steak seasoning has sugar and as atkinsgal08 mentioned the veggies are prepared with brown sugar.

The blue cheese wedge salad can be a good option there without the balsamic glaze and blue cheese dressing on the side.

Ya you have to be careful eating out because you never know what they add.

Outback always leads the lists of least healthy foods. Aussie cheese fries used to be a favorite until I saw 2,900 calories 182 g fat 240 g carbs.
