  • On my way.

Yeh! 20 days in and I'm down 10 pounds ! I'm a confessing repeat offender in the past but I Think I have it this time . My body is very carb sensitive and calorie sensitive. This time I'm using sparkpeople site to keep track of what's on the plate and my workouts. In addition I'm not doing coffee, milk, cream, sour cream , mayo, zero white sugar or any artificial sweetener. The selection of veggies have changed and I'm not eating as much hamburger this time but more chicken, beef roast and salmon and eggs. In addition I'm walking two miles per day. Feeling great but loosing my jeans!

            Re: On my way.

Thank you. ZERO white sugar- not processed sugar or really flour or rice anything really that is sweet and in anyway processed.I'm drinking ice water , eating whole foods, all home cooked.
Example Breakfast : 2 Eggs scrambled with butter mixed with yellow an green squash and some times mushrooms cooked in two pats butter (unsalted).

Lunch: Chicken breast with stirfry mix(broccoli, cauliflour, turnups, peppers.)
when I want some thing sweet I'll have a couple snow peas or a piece of fruit, and walnuts.
Basically before I would always thinK I was getting away with the cream in coffee, ketchup, mayo, bbq sauce and all these things seemed to (1) reduce my weighloss rates (2) make me crave sweets.

Currently if its not in its whole natural form at the store I don't buy it and this rule for me is keeping the bills down and the weight off.

Yes, I'm very excited about getting out of the 300's . Its the largest I've ever been and thank goodness it's melting off of me quickly! I'm currently almost loosing a pound per day and wondering when the stall will hit hopefully not till the 270 range .

                  Re: On my way.

I hear you on the whole foods ... I have been focusing on eating induction legal foods that are not processed not just low carb ... meat, fowl, eggs, cheeses, induction veggies, no fruits, no milk, touch of heavy cream, etc. ... no processed stuff ... for me , cold cuts were a quick easy snack but again they are so procssed so only in moderation now on occasion ... if it doesn't look close to what it looked like in its natural state I avoid it ! ... I am shopping primarily in the outside supermarket aisles ...

Seems to be helping me too !

Good job! Keep it up !

Pssst - only a few fruits like peppers, cucumbers, zucchini etc are induction-legal (check the allowed list), and definitely not nuts

                        Re: On my way.

Thank you for the tip ELizellen! I did get weak and eat half an apple and about 5 almonds the other day, oh and a cup of peas. Won't do it a gain.
YEs , I'm eating chicken, beef , eggs, salmon, lots of legal veggies like green beans, broccoli, squash, zucchini , brussel sprouts ect......either frozen or fresh veggies. I don't care for the canned stuff anymore. Ah and lets not forget lots of unsalted butter and ice water.
I stay away from lunch meat , bacon, hotdogs ect any thing processed in any way. That was the mistake I made in past attempts and it stalled me big time and also made me retain water.
