  • IM GAINNING! HELP

    HELLO THERE IVE GOT AN ISSUE IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME WITH IT. MY 13TH DAY THROUGH 15TH I FOUND OUT THAT I WAS ONLY GETTING 10-15 GRAMS PER DAY SO I UPPED MY CARBOS AND IVE GAINED 4 POUNDS! THIS IS NOT GOOD FOR MY OUTLOOK ANY SUGGESTIONS SHOULD I GO BACK TO 15 CARBS A DAY OR JUST STAY HERE AND KEEP GAINNING?

    Could it be TOM? Anther thing I found is that if I don't drink enough water I tend to retain water. Are you getting your exercise in. maybe you should post a menu in review my menu to see if there are hidden carbs or forbidden foods in your menu.

      USUALLY A DAY CONSISTS OF
      BREAKFAST
      A CARB CONTROL SHAKE
      LUNCH
      3 CUPS SALAD
      DINNER
      SOME KIND OF MEAT
      1/2 CUP MUSHROOMS
      I DO DRINK 1 CAN OF DIET MT DEW I HAVE A CAFFINE PROBLEM AND I DRINK THE PROPEL WATERS FOR THE REST OF THE DAY. MOST OF THE VEGETABLES I CANT STOMACH. IVE FOUND I CANT EAT EGGS ANYMORE FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASONS SO I GOT LIMITED ON WHAT I CAN EAT. I DID REALLY GOOD DURING INDUCTION I WENT FROM 170 TO A58 NOW IM BACK UP TO 162.

        The Carb control shake has stalled people on here and/or stopped weight loss, The veggies should be spread out not one big wham at one meal you also if following induction you are having 3 cups of salad greens and then mushrooms. The Diet Mt. Dew has aspartame in it known to stall weight loss in some people same with caffine it can stall or make you have cravings. Make sure the some kind of meat isn't processed with something and has hidden sugars, glucose etc. Sounds like you may be going over too quickly for your body to adapt.

        Cut back some veggies and spread them out try without the shake. Drink diet rite instead of the Mt. Dew if you must, drink plenty of plain water and lot of exercise...

        try that and see how it works out!

          Nix the carb control shake. 3 cups of salad veggies mean just that. 3 cups not 3 and a half. If you want to add more veggies move up to owl. Also you need to spread them out throughout the day not just 1 meal. Try adding some variety to your veggies as well. I am pretty sure diet mountain dew has aspartame so that could definitely be an issue. Propel fitness water has got to go. Ingredients: Purified Water, Sucrose Syrup, Natural Lemon Flavor with Other Natural Flavors, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Potassium Citrate, Sucralose, Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid), Vitamin E Acetate, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), Calcium Disodium EDTA (Protects Freshness), Calcium Pantothenate (Vitamin B5), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Acesulfame Potassium, Vitamin B12.

          Your water intake for the day has got to be just that water Nothing else counts as water. Work on your diet and you will probably be in better shape. Also are you exercising. If you are not exercising then you are not doing Atkins.

            THANKS I WILL GET RID OF THE SHAKE, CUT MY VEGGIES BACK, I DONT DO THE PROCESSED MEATS SO IM OKAY THERE. ILL CUT THE WATER TO JUST PLAIN WATER I ACTUALLY DIDNT EVEN READ THAT LABEL. DUH. YES IM DOING ANYWHERE 20-30 MIN A DAY 6 DAYS A WEEK. THANKS GUYS.

              hehe spirit and I were answering at the same time...hows that for quick response....

              Anything in the ingredient list with -ose on the end put it back on the shelf
              So like Spirit said use the Propel to put out a fire or something else, water your plant...something just don't drink it, esp for your daily water intake!

              20-30 is good don't get me wrong but in the book it says to aim for 45 minutes minimum try increasing it a bit more that may help too...

                don't get into the trap of thinking only eggs for breakfast...eat leftovers from dinner...rolled up turkey cream cheese rolls...get creative...spread your three cups of veggies out and plug your info into fitday.com to track your cals/fats/carbs...it doesn't look like you are eating enough to me...remember you need to get in an adequate amount of fats or else this diet won't work properly. Make sure to read the 2002 DNDR which can be a great source of reference throughout the diet. As for veggies...dice them up small and mix them up in stirfrys or put some cheese on top.
