    How bad does your TOM affect you?

    My regular weigh day is Friday with my hubby. But, I do have to weigh on Monday at work for our company's Biggest Loser contest. However, I started my TOM on Tuesday. I had grteat results at weigh in on Monday. When I weighed in with hubby Friday I was up almost 3 lbs! I know I am holding water and all that, but SHEESH! lol

    So, was just wondering how bad it affects yall?

    however much it effected you before low carbing it will still effect you when you low carb. I gained 10 pounds the week before TOM and dropped it during the week of TOM

      you could try using one of the legal natural diuretics like horseradish I think you should look for the recipe called whooshie pie it is hamburger, cheese and horseradish and folk swear they drop weight after eating it.

        oh tell me about it. it affects me pretty good. so i changed birth controls and now im really feeling it right now. my body is very sensitive to the hormones that is primarily why i changed my eating habbits to atkins so i would worry less about my hormones. i will gain 10-12 pounds. and keep it on for 2-3 weeks. i hate it. so i try to keep up on taking milk thistle. its natural and it helps control hormones too. well mainly it helps the liver and its amazing what the liver does. so i would try that. a bottle of it is like 7 bucks at walmart. i heard, lemon juice and cranberry juice is great and so is potassium. avocados have more potassium than bananas. a whole avocado has almost 1,000 grams!!

        877 grams of potassium in one avocado vs 470 grams in a banana. And much less sugar!
        prunes too but those are sugary. any way i hope this helps i have had lots of issues with this.
        also dont get too down on yourself about it i did and it got me no where lol

          Whenever I do restricted carbs it totally messes my cycle up. I lost 7lbs week 1, started Tom at the start of week 2 and lost 1lb. Not only that but I wasn't even due for one, I already had one just a couple weeks before. Plus it was much worse and lasted a lot longer, in fact I'm on day 8 or 9 and it's still not completely over.

          After a month or so my body adjusts and things get back to normal. Normally it doesn't slow my loss this bad though. I'm still losing inches so not complaining. Just want it to go away LOL

            I gain 2-3 pounds the week of my TOM, then lose it right away after.
