  • New here!

Hi everyone I am new here, I just started induction yesterday. I am 25 years old and mommy to 2 beautiful little boys, One 7 years old and one 8 months. After the birth of my 2nd I am now at the heaviest weight I have ever been 174 lbs.

I'm am really happy with the way I look otherwise, but would really like to loose 25 lbs by summer and 50 lbs total.

I started induction yesterday and did okay till bedtime, when a reese cup and I came into a battle of wills.... I lost, but I'm going to keep on truckin' I didn't eat hardly any carbs at all yesterday, other than what is in meat and green veggies. I am going to keep yesterday as my start day.

Today has rocked so far, I had meatballs and a salad for breakfast, because I was out of eggs and then for lunch I had more meatballs and 1/4 of a cucumber.

The meatballs have no breading in them, just spices and egg.

I hope to meet some new friends and inspriation here!

Why not make your home a fail safe environment ... get rid of the candy.

For exercise I am going to do zumba at the gym a couple times a week and maybe kick boxing?? not quite sure. I'll will for sure check out the exercise log too!

Good Idea on getting rid of the candy, unfortunatly my son's grandmother gave him a small bag of candy yesterday afternoon. The good news is it's almost gone, not because I ate it, but because the other people who live in my house did! I'm happy to see it go!

Thanks for the tips they are much appriciated!

That doesn't mean 1) it's good for your son, 2) you have to keep it!

Thats true, but it wouldn't be nice to make him throw it away after grandma gave it to him. He is active and healthy and I don't see a reason to take it away from him.

Is sugar and junk good for him?

Do you have kids? I'm not here to defend my parenting style.... Is sugar good for him? No!

Does that mean he shouldn't be allowed to have any ever? NO

It was a treat from his grandma not something he gets on a daily basis....

                  No, I don't have children.

                  I know some though.

I was only speaking to your point that you couldn't throw it out because his grandmother gave it to him.

Yes, you can throw it out ... after he's had some.

                  That's all.

It's about changing how we look at things ... that's all.

Thats true I could have thrown it out after he had some. Even if he wasn't happy about it. Sorry to hop on the defense there !

I really do have a hard time telling people (especially grandma) No, when they make something that they know you like! I feel so bad! But I need to be strong and do it!

                      It comes with practice.

The thing is, if you say No, and then cave, it weakens your position.

You have to say No, thank you ... then make your actions agree with what you say.

People will start to believe you.

Remember ... we teach people how to treat us.

And it's perfectly acceptable to say, "Thank you" ... and then move the item on ... either to someone else or to the garbage.

Your "thank you" was sincere ... because you/we are thankful that people thought of us.
