Thanks Elizellen. That's what I thought. I have been using Best Foods brand, which I have heard is the same company as Hellman's, its just the western version of the same brand. (Can anyone clarify if that is true?)

Anyhow, it doesn't affect me, but I think my mom is so addicted to sugar, and I mean an extreme addiction, that its best for her to be more careful. She has had a few falls off the wagon, and is scrambling to get back on each time...Her health is very poor, and she is in her 60's, so she is struggling. I wish I could help her more but other than sounding like "her" mom and scolding her, lol, I can only encourage her to keep trying.

I have been printing off recipes and that seems to be helping her quite a bit. My dad is no help and demands cookies and stuff in his lunches that she makes for him. He really needs to be on this woe too for health reasons. She has very little will power and succumbs easily, with her typical excuses. I figure it must where I learned the yo-yo diet way of life.

She refuses to read the book, and instead asks me questions. That's the hard part. But that's okay, if I persist, she will make it through...right? lol

    Thanks again!

      Georgiana

Thanks for the info on homemade mayo. I made some when I got home. I used grapeseed oil, hope thats an acceptable oil. Anyway, it was very yummy and soooooo easy, made in minutes.

        You're welcome!

Grapeseed oil is perfectly fine. That's what I use for mayo as well.

Bless you for trying to help your Mum get to grips with Atkins
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

            Re: Im absolutely gutted :-(

Thanks Elizellen, thats partially why I spend lunches with my mom sometimes, so I can help her and go over her menu and ingredients. Also, I have offered to buy oopsie rolls off of her to help pay for her costs and to be able to afford more atkins foods. I am hoping this will help her get focused on it. I might also offer to buy the cheese chips and such too. lol (just gotta watch that cheese intake at this rate) But its mostly to keep her motivated. She really does have poor health, as does my dad after years of eating poorly, and tons of sugar. I hope to convince my dad soon!
