  • Question on extended.

I have over 100 lbs to lose so I plan on staying on induction for a while. Last time I did "Atkins" (quotes because I didn't do it per the book) I stayed on "induction" for nearly a year (and lost about 70 lbs).

During an extended induction should you do it by the book for normal induction? or can you mix in a few other unapproved things? For example last time I had bars, low carb ice cream, low carb chocolate milk, and Diet Rite. Should I view these as off limits, occasional treats, or free game just don't over do it?

Once you add in a food that isn't on the Induction food list, you're no longer on Induction.

I would suggest moving to OWL, where you can have more of a variety of foods ... and teach yourself the tools you need to do Atkins for life.

I would recommend following the OWLadder as none of those are induction foods so you wouldn't be doing induction anyway.
      Does that make sense?

Makes perfect sense. However I'm going to stay on induction a while longer since I'm no where near burned out on it.

Thanks for the input, pretty much confirmed what I figured.
