  • staying or moving on????

Today was then end of induction for me, I have a loss of 14lbs which I'm very happy with. I still do need to loose 55lbs, would it be ok for me to stick with induction until the end of the month? And if not, do I just add only 5 more net carbs of any vegges. I did read the book about a year ago but can't find it right now. Thank You

You can stay on induction about 6 months, but I wouldn't recommend it. Move up when you start to want more varied diet. Fruit and nuts are very tempting

      Re: staying or moving on????

I lost about 12 Lbs on Induction.

Tried extended induction and didn't lose a pound that next week.

I moved onto OWL Rung 1 (with some prodding from members here) and lost 6 more Lbs over the next two weeks.

Your weight loss WILL slow down after the first couple of weeks of Induction. The more I know about OWL and the rungs, the less sense it makes to me to stay on Extended Induction.

      Good Luck!

if you are feeling okay and enjoying that very limited food choices you can stay on induction longer but Dr Atkins says his plan is about learning lifetime eating changes to keep you healthy for life and OWL is a very important part of that learning.

We add carbs back in 5 net gram incriments but in a fixed order with more of those yummy inductrion veggies as the first step. So either add more veggies to your eating or keep them at 3 cups and see how you do.

I'm doing extended induction and have added a bit more veggies but the weight seem to be slower. I may have to move on OWL Rung 1 as well. My jeans are definately feeling looser which I'm happy for. I don't have the book so need to get one. Did most of you get yours on amazon?
