  • fell off now starting again

    hi guys after doing induction for 19 days....yesterday i cheated i had some bad news and just lost it...................im sooo mad at myself
    i didnt have a full blown binge i just ate high carb meals ect toast and a roast dinner with potatoes.
    so brushing myself off and starting from scratch again today.

    i will be posting everything i eat here

    so far

    breakfast

    water and 1 ounce chease.

    lunch will be

    water water water
    chicken drumsticks with salad


    dinner will be

    water water water
    gammon
    steak
    pork chop
    with a little blue chease sauce made with cream
    and a salad

    hope i dont have to face indution flu all over again

    still at least i have returned hopefully i havent done to much damage .

    i can only keep trying as i want to succeed

    Lisa, bad girl *slaps on wrist* we are very disappointed in you! Just kidding, just brush yourself off and go forward, most of us have slipped. But be careful one slip can lead to many (trust me, I know). Get right back on track, drink plenty of water, and move on, ...no regrets.

      Welcome back Lisa - nice that you jumped back.
      Maybe try for a more substantial breakfast - it is easier to stick to things when you have a full breakfast. And don't forget to have fats. But what you are eating is looking good. I like the water, water, water part

        Yesterday is over, what matters is now. As of now you are on plan and moving forward. Cheating is easy, restarting is hard. You're past the hard part now. You can do it.

          That's not a good breakfast.

          What exactly do you mean by "salad"?

          True ... but the lessons one can learn aren't over. What you have to plan for is how you're going to handle "bad news" in the future.

            Absolutely agree, not saying she shouldn't learn from it, of course she should and I think she probably has. But guilt and beating yourself up is counterproductive and can lead to more cheats. Time to realize your mistake and move on. Set a plan in place for how you will handle it better the next time.

              you are back and should be just eating as if yesterday never happened. there is no punishment for a cheat. toast and taters most likely will not even register on your stix if you were using them as long as it was just toast and no sweets too.

                hi guys and thankyou for your replys.

                atkinsgal my salad contains lettuce,tomatoe.cucumber,green peppers,a little onion..dressed in olive oil with fresh crushed chilli, garlic and a little vinegar (home made).
                tom has come today yipppeeeee never thought i would say that but my biggest weight loss is just after tom....and my cravings are allways before tom ....during tom im fine ?

                breakfast today

                i cup coffee with cream (no splenda)
                1 hardboiled egg with a little mayo
                1 oz chease
                water water water

                lunch will be

                roasted chicken drumsticks skin on yum with a salad
                water water water water

                dinner will be

                beef steak fried mushrooms,mashed cauliflower with 1 oz melted chease ontop ,and some green runner beans.

                water water water and more water

                does my menu look ok ?

                and thank you for the support..

                i will do this.

                  i forgot to say i am getting some scales today ..... i don,t normally weigh myself as i used to get discouraged....but then i used to weigh every day....weigh in will be weekly from now on......i feel it coming off but just want to see the scale,s moving.

                  i have no idea as to what i weigh ?

                  will be a shock i know ... but i wil be using this as my starting weight.i will post my weight tomorrow and then get a ticker

                      you don't list amounts for many foods so if they are within your 3 cups of veggies limits and you only eat enough protein and fat to satisfy your hunger at the time you are eating your menu looks fine.

                        Congrats on that weight loss, that is amazing!

                        I'm very surprised at the idea that potatoes aren't so bad as sugar would be. In the book, Atkins stated that it has recently been found that the natural carbs in both potatoes and also in non-sweetened cereals are processed as suddenly by dumping into the bloodstream as sugar is - so I would think that it would be as bad. Maybe I misunderstood though?

                            ok well im being honest.

                            i fell off the wagon again lastnight i ate biscuits

                            today i feel ill so i am planning my restart for tomorrow.
                            really canot be bothered today
                            fresh start tomorrow.

                              You need to identify what is causing you to cheat and correct it before moving on or you will just get stuck in a cycle of going on and off. Maybe if you plan out your menus for the first week and make sure everything is on hand you will be able to get into keytosis, that makes it easier to stick to if you are going off for cravings. If it's emotional or habit that won't help.

                              Not being bothered with restarting might mean you just aren't ready to start this WOE it takes commitment. I wish you the best of luck figuring it all out and making it work.
