  • Going on week 4 :)

    Well 3 weeks are now complete and my verdict is 15.6 pounds wooooohoooooooooooooooooooooooo Having a great time with this way of eating and I had a bet with fiance if I lost 15 pounds in 3 weeks he had to give up smoking so he got some pretty rough news this morning . I'm so excited the wedding is right around the corner just over 3 months and I'm only 5 pounds away from my wedding day goal. Shooting for a possible 15 more instead maybe. Good thing my dress is coreset because I would have to get some serious alterations. I got dress in October when I was just over 265 and now I'm down to 240 and still going down. YIPPEEEEEE

    Current weight 240
    1st goal 235 (I want to meet this goal by wedding)
    2nd goal 220 (I would like to meet his by Sept)
    3rd goal 200 (Want to meet this goal by Dec)
    My year goal 175
    Hopefully all my goals will be reached way before I've got I wanted to give myself some good goals.

    Very Awesome! You are doing great and will achieve your goal in no time. Your attitude and enthusiasm are definate benefits to you and everyone who reads!

      Thanks so much! I was so scared when I first started eating this way. Main thing was I felt like it would be hard to find stuff to eat BUT I have started cooking my own recipes for example last night I had mashed cauliflower and turkey meatloaf (my own recipe not too bad) and a few green beans not bad at all. I haven't had really any bad cravings except when fiance made mashed tattors so that's why I had to do the cauliflower deal. Going to try to make the cauliflower (potatoe) salad from recipe section of book.

          congrats on your great start.
          Keep looking at chapter 13 questions so you know when to move to OWL.

          have you fixed the wedding menu so you can stay on your atkins?

            Congratulations! I am on my 4th week myself, we seem to be loosing about the same weight!

            Maybe i should have made that bet with myself!! I need to quit smoking too, i just think it would be hard to focus on loosing weight, and kicking the habit at the same time.

            Good luck and congrats on the wedding to be!

              I haven't made it from the book but I have used the recipe from Lindas Low Carb Recipes and its just awesome! I used to hate cauliflower but now I would just as soon have the cauliflower version than the potato version.
