  • The worst case of the runs

Ok I don't mean to offend anyone but I'm just recovering from the worst case if the runs in my adult life. I've been thinking of what caused it but haven't a clue when I read on some of the older threads that it happens to some people on LC diet. My problem is this, I can't stand any of the LC foods I used to eat and my body is just screaming for carbs. I did cave in today but intend to start off tomorrow on a good foot. My question is do any of you have any idea what I could eat apart from eggs, cream, cream cheese at least until I get my appetite back?

Do you think you can handle any veggies?

Yes I think I can but only the veggies though. Is that good?

You should not eat only veggies, but veggies with some fat and protein of your choice.

Psyllium husks are high in soluble fiber and might help with your problem.

Ok thanks Georgiana. It's really going to be a battle getting my body to accept protein now but I'll give it a try tomorrow.

Eggs and cheese are sources of protein. You mentioned them in your first post.

Re: The worst case of the runs

I know but that made up most of my diet before this unfortunate episode. Infact I had made a quiche, egg custard and something with ground beef and cheese so I wouldn't have to cook everytime I get hungry. I ate a slice of the quiche and had some diet cola and next day bad news. So I've thrown out all the food I prepared and now just thinking about eggs, cheese and the like makes me queasy. Any suggestions on what I could eat till my stomach settles?

Soups? With my trusty stick blender I can make soups out of any cooked meat and /or veggies!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
