  • 3 weeks on induction- Am I doing it right?

    Hello guys!
I'm about three weeks on induction, and I lost 10 pounds. But I lost 10 pounds in my 2 first weeks, not after. 10 pounds is fine by me, but I want to be sure am I doing everything right.

I have some problems with my digestion, although I eat seed flax.
I do not eat meat, but I do eat all sorts of fish.

I also drink about 8,5 cups of water(2 liters).

    This is my day menu:
Breakfast: 2 or 3 eggs with 4 ounces of Gouda cheese, or mozzarela + some mayonnaise .

Lunch: Tuna(from can), or Salmon steak or cat fish with 2 cups of salad vegetbles + 1 cup of other vegetables. (Sometimes I eat eggs instead of fish).

    Dinner: 2 eggs+some leftovers from lunch(vegetables-not fish).

Also, I preper eggs on olive oil or corn oil, sometimes butter. I do not use some dressings on the salads.

Please, is my day menu ok?

And, I have only 3 meals per day because I spend my day on college and work. Is that problem? I eat every 6 hours, as written in the book.

What else could I do to make my digestion better? Before Atkins, I didn't have that kind of problem.

Also, I planed to stay more on induction phase? Is that ok for me?

I'm reading book and this forum but I am still not sure.

Tomorrow I start my exercising- 3 days/week I will go on tae bo.

    Many thanks! Appreciate it

I was wondering, can I eat tofu cheese on Induction?
    Thanks!

Doesn't really look like enough food I think... What kind of vegetables are your eating?
Also, 4 ounces of cheese may slow you down considering its right at its limit, try 2-3 and just have some avocado or cauliflower instead. =]
Apart from those things, keep up the good work, your doing great!
    Ready for change

      Thank you for answering.
Every day I eat salad vegetables 2 cups(bib lettuce or endive, leaf lettuce, radishes) and other-1 oz(broccoli or cauliflower, onion, Brussels sprouts, spring greens, cabbage, french neans, sauerkraut, green peas). Really-I eat everything. I love vegetables, so it's not a problem

Well, yes, I am not sure is that enough food eighter. I mean do I eat enough fish and eggs?
It's hard for me because I don't eat meat.

I know that I eat good amount of salad vegetables and other vegetables.

I don't feel really hungry, I do sometimes, when I'm out,
but I wait till I get home and than I eat something.(lunch, dinner).

      Thank you.

How many net carbs are you eating and how many come from vegetables?

        green peas
Green peas are not allowed during Induction. They are a starchy vegetable and come only in OWL Rung 8.

Well, yes, I am not sure is that enough food eighter. I mean do I eat enough fish and eggs?
How many calories have you been eating, on average?

What else could I do to make my digestion better? Before Atkins, I didn't have that kind of problem.
More vegetables... more water... exercise... a fiber supplement...

Also, I planed to stay more on induction phase? Is that ok for me?
No, since you have less than 25 lbs left to lose. It would be more appropriate to move to OWL.

The last 5-10 lbs are supposed to be lost in Pre-Maintenance... and OWL takes a long time.

can I eat tofu cheese on Induction?
Tofu is allowed, but it counts towards your cheese intake (limited to 4 oz per day).

Re: 3 weeks on induction- Am I doing it right?

first off congrats on your great start.
It is very normal to have a scale weight loss hesitation ofater the initial loss on any weight loss plan. We atkinseers call it PISS but it is a hesitation and you will resume loing scles pounds soon. Have you measured this week to see the inches of body fat being shed even though the scales say you didn't lose anything?

Now you actually haven't been doing atkins if you were not exercising so your over 28% loss of the pounds you needed to lose is fantasitc! for a 300+ pounder like me that would have been over 41 pounds gone.

With only 24 more pounds to go you should move to OWl so you can practice eating as you will when you arrive at goal weight and learn what foods your body will and will not tolerate as poart of your low carb life style. to move to OWl the first thing you do is add 5 more net carbs of those yummy induction veggies.

          have fun.

Well its good to see your eating your veggies!
Personally I find it maddening when people don't like them, there so delicious!

Maybe you could add abit more meat but I think adding more fats to what your eating might be better. Do you know your fitday fat/protein/carb percentages?
