Well it's been 4 weeks today since I started induction, and I have to say, I haven't looked back since...I have "dieted" every diet possible, many of them 2 or 3 times including Atkins. Not sure what my Ah Ha moment was but I'm glad I had it. I'm down 14 pounds, which hasn't changed much since my second week of induction. The old me would be bummed cause it hasn't moved in a week or so, but the new me is thinking about the energy I have and how well I sleep at night....without Tylenol PM!! and thinking how I played basketball with my son every night this week...I lost every time, but I loved it. I did measure in the beginning, but lost my tape measure, so I have to pick up another one. I have to say my cravings left me a few weeks ago, the energy didn't come till about day 7 or 8 and I feel great....I mean, REALLY great and proud of myself. I have chosen to stay on induction because I'm not bored....I kinda like the routine of it all still, I am adding a few different veggies but thats all for now. so anyway, the house was quiet and I thought I'd take a minute and share.

Re: first month down
Hi, Amy.
Congrats on a great loss in one month!
You and I seem to be on the same track - I yearn to hit 199 and my goal (or pipe dream) is to hit 160. Frankly, I think I'd be crazed with joy if I hit 175. It's been a LONG time since I've been that weight -at least 15 yrs.
I'm 5 days in and have lost 5lbs. Feel great, too.
I plan to stay on Induction as long as I can, although I am looking forward to adding some berries.
Wondering if you can restart your weight loss by spending 2-3 days with really minimal carbs - maybe 5-10 - and lean protein. (I've done this in the past) It also may help to monitor your sodium intake (water weight is a major bummer).
Best of luck! I'll race you to 199!4realthistime

Well doneOriginally posted by 4realthistime View PostI'm 5 days in and have lost 5lbs. Feel great, too.
Remember that you need to have completed the OWL 'experiment' and be ready to move to the third phase of Atkins when you have 5 to 10 pounds left to lose. Doing OWL properly can take many weeks, so don't leave it too late before you start to find your CCLL and if any foods affect you adverselyI plan to stay on Induction as long as I can, although I am looking forward to adding some berries.
Not really a good idea as it would be going off Atkins then returning to it again and your body would not know what is going on.Wondering if you can restart your weight loss by spending 2-3 days with really minimal carbs - maybe 5-10 - and lean protein.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
